Serves: 3 Prep Time: Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Whole Milk
  • 1 Cup of Sugar
  • 2 Cups of Heavy Cream (or Heavy Whipping Cream)
  • 1 TBSP of Vanilla Extract (I use homemade extract)
  • 1 Large Pinch of Salt
  • Make sure your ice cream bowl has been in the freezer for at least 15 hrs+ and it helps if the freezer is set to the lowest temperature setting, and it is in the deepest part of the freezer.

Instructions

  1. Mix together the Whole Milk and Sugar, whisk to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Add in the Heavy Cream, Vanilla Extract, and Salt. Stir again to combine.
  3. Get out the ice cream machine and set it up. Depending on your machine's instructions, start the machine and start to slowly pour in the ice cream base. For the Kitchen-Aid, use setting Stir (Lowest) and then churn for approximately 25 - 28 minutes.
  4. Once the ice cream is churned, put it into a freezer-safe container. It is recommended to freeze it for approximately 4 hours, but you can enjoy it sooner, it will just be softer.

Notes

Make this recipe for immediate use or save in the fridge for later. Best if used within 2 days of making the base.
