  • 3&1/3 cup all-purpose flour (416g)
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast (6g)
  • 1 tsp salt (5g)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup water (125ml)
  • ½ cup milk (125ml) (fresh milk or evap)
  • 3 tbsp butter (salted or unsalted)
  • cheddar cheese sticks 20grams each

  • 2 tablespoons oil for the bowl
  • softened butter
  • sugar



Baking time may vary depending on your oven's specifications. I'm using a conventional oven in which heat rises from the bottom.


Active dry yeast and instant yeast both help leaven bread and provide an airy, light texture, but they do so in slightly different ways and there's one major difference in how you use them: Active dry yeast needs to be dissolved in water before using, while instant yeast can be mixed right into dry ingredients.


MILK- you can use evap or fresh milk, lukewarm, or room temp.
